Ofra Haza (עָפְרָה חָזָה natural November 19 1957, died February 23 2000) was a popular Yemenite Israeli singer.

She processed her international debut at a Eurovision Song Contest 1983, which she very narrowly failed to win for Israel sustaining a song "Chai". Ofrthe Haza experienced a worldwide hit within 1988 with "Im Nin' Alu" from a album Shaday. She freed numerous albums including, Ofra Haza (1997), Fifty Gates of Wisdom & numerous kids's song albums.

Her international hits besides involved "Temple of Love (Touched by the Hand of Ofra Haza)" sustaining a Leeds-based post-punk band The Sisters of Mercy in 1992, and "My Love Is for Real" sustaining Paula Abdul in 1995. She likewise sang in the alive film The Prince of Egypt (1998), and "The Governess"(199?).

Her Israeli hits include "Shir ha-Frekha" ("The Teaser Song"), or even "The Tart", a theme from either a flick Shlager, in which she besides acted) & "le-Orekh ha-Yam" ("Along the Shore").
